Responsibilities

CORE Engineering
• Support multi vendors, multi platforms, multi systems which is unique to the company.
• Undertake overall responsibility in capacity planning, evaluation and procurement of hardware resources, database and system software support as well as systems performance monitoring and tuning.
• Liaise with other Department Heads on business requirements to ensure that the overall company’s IT systems are an integrated one.
• Allocate resources to effectively support existing systems and new projects.
• Ensure continuous process improvement and service level standard to achieve optimal efficiency, increase productivity and meet high customer expectation and satisfaction.
• Keep abreast of new technology and recommend the implementation of the “right-fit” technology to increase the productivity and service standards of line departments.

 

DC Operations & Service Continuity
• Responsible to maintain and improve DC operation services.
• Improve DC Operation Efficiencies as well as DC Facility Management.
• Responsible for the timely and quality production of millions of bills per months to customers.
• Develop, implement and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure the safety and security of information resources. (For mission critical systems like CSI, IMPACT, PPMS, MD/SoftAct, Pegasus etc) .

 

Service Management
• Responsible to manage all Major Incident & to run IT War/Situation Room where required to ensure proper closure to all incidents
• Responsible to drive problem management.
• Ensure the respective domains provided RCA report timely and to follow up to ensure all recommendation in the RCA reports are follow through
• Responsible to manage Change Approval Board to drive discussion/review for all Major/High Risk change within Group IT.
• Develop methodology / framework and ensure smooth transition between project & operations.

 

EUT Services
• Introduce and promote business friendly and cost-effective service to end users in Singtel while aligning to regional EUT Strategy.
• Ensure 24x7 availability of EUT Services including infrastructure design (high availability, redundancies, BCP) and regular maintenances.
• Plan, manage and maintain operating expense budgets for all EUT services including equipment, support/maintenance and outsourcing costs.

 

Requirements
• Degree in Engineering/IT.
• More than 15 years of experience in the industry and had held management position in infrastructure Operations.
• To keep abreast of new technology and recommend the implementation of the “right-fit” technology.
• Strong people management, communications and presentations skills.
• Well-versed with ITIL Processes and Crisis Management.
• Good understanding of the business and how IT can support drive key business initiatives.
